... from the same session.
Sloppy playing on my part and I apologize. (I was hungover like a M/F.) But I´m not entirely unhappy with the bite from that little 5 W Roland amp.

I dunno why you apologize Martin, except that you have extremely high standards/expectations. If I could play "sloppily" and sound like that I would be very happy. I thought it sounded great! Thanks for sharing.

nice playing. I'd turn down a bit, though.

@Steamrollin Stan: It´s simply called "Roland Mobile Cube". I believe this is the smallest of several "Cube" models. Can´t say it was terribly cheap, but works nicely for this kind of situation.

@Larry: Of course your right. I sound ridiculously -- insultingly! -- loud. However, the lady that filmed w/ her camera said that IRL we came out as pretty well balanced.

@Bronzewailer: Thank you for kind words, but the edges here are a bit too rough for me to find it entirely to my taste. Also, as you may have noted, when I thought he would start singing after my first chorus he won´t do it ... -- for some reason. Makes things a bit un-tight.

yeah sounded good!

I like how you did a 6 draw/7 draw shake over the 5 chord at about 1:20, don't hear too many players do that.

that little amp does sound kick ass! Are you using a pedal or something to dirty it up?

Thank you guys, and nope, no pedals -- it´s his guitar and my harmonica into the Roland. I was using an Audix Fireball as microphone; on this particular tune it´s the "dist" setting on the amp (evidently). That makes it rather feedback prone and it´s why I´m standing behind the thing. The drawback then is of course that you don´t get the full picture when it comes to volume.
I´ll try to find settings on my Boss EQ and see if I can boost it a bit more.

I liked it and picked up some nice ideas for the IV and V chords. Thank you.

Great playing as usual. You have that fierce butterfield vibrato that just grabs on. Too bad I and a lot of other blues aficionados were in Åmål that weekend for the festival. You could have gotten a better yield another day ;).

Oh, many thanks Pistolcat, and hope Åmål exceeded all expecatations, and not in the way that Swedish movie described it some years ago.

We are not primarily geared towards blues, more ... pop stuff -- to a certain extent people have to recognize what they hear in order to donate a buck or two. But the money ain´t great, I can tell you that.
