this is a recording of me playing in my local jam. Any coments, let me know!
I am using a Fender Frontman 25r (yes, solid state)
(The last acustic fast run is not me, that is Cristian Inostroza, the "jam master") ---------- Sorry for any misspell, english is not my first language.

I like it! Very nice fill work. The solo is very good, too. Builds up nicely. I like the way you use double stops octaves and "dirt" to fill out your sound. If one were to give any constructive criticism it would be that the solo could have had more of laying back and using a few more lines without "dirt" and bends to enhance the contrasts.
Nice work! I would have bought you a beer if it had been at our jam! ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube
Very good work! I always think that when someone plays good it doesn't matter solid state or tube amp you play. The sound will be approximately good especially in jam situation. ---------- Konstantin Kolesnichenko(Ukraine) my music
Iceman, you are right, I am not on picth there. I am working my way to a full time TBer, so my bends are really messy these days. I will work on that specific note from now on. Thxs for your tip! ---------- Sorry for any misspell, english is not my first language.
The guitar player is essentially phrasing more along the lines of the original version by Guitar Slim, but what the bass player is doing is the SRV cover of the Albert King cover of this Guitar Slim classic.
I've played this tune tons of times over the years and what I always did was, when backing the vocals was to do what the horn lines were doing in the Guitar Slim original, which was the exact mirror of the bass line, and that bass line was also used on the Little Walter instrumental Blue Lights and the doowop classic Only You by The Platters.
Below, I've posted the Guitar Slim original and the SRV cover of the Albert King cover.
