What sort of fiend are we dealing with? A man who would bite the end off a cigar is capable of anything!

I worked at a hotel where he chose to stay for a period of time some years ago. He was, fitting with his genteel persona as John Steed, a perfect gentleman. He was unfailingly courteous and self effacing to whatever praise I heard others heap upon him. Unlike a good many celebrities--musicians, actors, artists, poets, writers--he was an instantly likeable person.
