Brendan Power will be sending one (or maybe more) of his Twin system harmonicas for show and tell, and we'll be auctioning it at the end of the event. For more on this revolutionary new harmonica system:
Randy Landry of Lone Wolf Blues has donated a Harp train 10 harmonica amp for the raffle - yes the raffle. For the price of a raffle ticket, you could be the owner of this great new 8-watt 6L6-driven amp, built for harmonica players:
Seydel has come through with donations of harmonicas, including the Sampler, a slide harp with steel reeds and half-valving that combines two related keys in one body, such as C and G, or D and A, or G and D.
You can now play chromatic-style third position blues in two keys in the same harp. For instance, on the C/G you could play third position in D on the C harp and third position in A on the G harp. You just move the slide in or out to switch keys, and you can lock the slide in either position. Half-valving allows for full dual-reed draw bends.
