after hearing this mans playing on posts on facebook,Ive decided that he is king of first position harp....he played jazz during the big band era...he apparently did not get the attention he deserved

Big Walter grabbed some licks from Boarding house blues(37-50 sec.) Very good player indeed. Wonder why he didn't record more.

there is a CD I got through amazon blues harmonica essentials by willie hood.....it was recorded off an old 78...you can hear the needle scratches....don't mind that......preserving that great jazz harp is key

yep, that's amazing
the old Hohner harps were a hell of a lot easier to blow bend without bursting a blood vessel in your brain....I know Bob, breath control

first position on a C harp sure does sound good, at least when Rythm Willie is playing it
