It's manufactured as a drum mic and meant to handle high spy's without distortion. I've had drummers use it while I ran sound. It's always been good for that. I find sennheiser to be a little high mid range heavy. But more important for harp is that it's probably not going to respond that well to cupping. Much like the audio mics.

Try it, you never know
There is a cat down here in Nola named The Colonal and he used an old sure drum mic, I think its for overheads, and it works great. He told me he has been using it since the 60's.

I think it's a great mic for acoustic work as I've used one and was very happy with it. But for cupping, definitely not.
