I have recently put together a series of Learnalong tunes for newcomers to the Harmonica. I do not purport to be a teacher but the tunes are contained within a Learnalong Playlist on my Youtube site. Most are simple easy to play along with & have tabs on the screen. There are tunes with tabs for standard diatonics, chromatics & melody maker tuning. Personally I do not use tabs and play everything by ear perhaps with the exception of Chromatic. I cannot attest as to the absolute accuracy but would hope that some folks may be able to put these to good use:
It's always good to see videos like yours which are easy to follow when one is just starting to learn. You've clearly put some time and effort in and I hope you continue to do more.
It has occurred to me that one may be able to utilise karaoke software for something like this. .. The lyrics are normally a separate text file, which could be replaced with appropriate hole numbers. Just a thought... might be worth looking into.
Maybe I've been watching too many cartoons in my time, but I'm still too scared to learn 'Believe Me, if All Those Endearing Young Charms' in case playing the last note might cause my harmonica to explode! ;)
Harmlessonica , I like your idea re Karaoke. Will look at. Cannot link your comment re last note and your harp exploding? But thanks for the comments Much appreciated. ---------- HARPOLDIE’S YOUTUBE
Heh. .. you'll have to forgive my quirky sense of humour.
That tune is the one used in the classic Warner Brothers cartoons where a musical instrument is rigged to explode on the final note of the first phrase.
I didn't even know the title of that piece till I saw the video in your YouTube channel.
