Thanks to the February snow of 2015 (and a case of the flu), I have had the chance to work on a few tab projects that I have been putting off.
A typical listener said to me, “you guys need to do PIANO MAN”
Though the club did a terrible rendition of it years ago, we are now blessed with a group of competent musicians that can lay down the changes just fine. SO now it’s up to me to see if I can bring the harp players in our group up to the same level.
First challenge, that famous lick. that very few people do the same……
After going through OVER 25 tabs of Piano Man on harptabs.com, I knew I had to do my own tab. You can’t tell squat from those tabs.
So about 6 hours later…..(notes are easy, rhythm is hell)… here’s yet another tab for Piano Man. I truly expect a lot of people to say “that’s not how I do it”. I’ll gladly listen to suggestions that will improve this interpretation. and "Thank You" in advance.

I’ll tab the melody later. A few of the tabs at harptabs.com were actually OK for the melody part.

Good job. But personally I'm yet to fall in love with any tabs ie they are only a very rough guide to get one started.

tabbing ain't fun
and I've learned a lot just doing this.
Here is what I've sent to the club members. A tab with melody and rhythm. I made it last night, but kept waking up in the middle of the night obsessing over rhythm. So today I looked up a sheet music and made MANY changes. So if it;s off, I blame the published sheet. AS for me, I consider this "close enough" :)
