My buddy Ron Sunshine, long time harp-playing swing-band crooner in NYC who paid his dues in the trenches of Dan Lynch's blues bar back in the 80s, is working on a new album. If ever there was a guy who has paid his dues, done all the hard work, kept a fantastic band together over the long haul, and deserves to have a friendly public assist him in taking the next step, it is Ron.

Some of you know him as a guy who sells cool vintage mics.

Anyway, here's the link for his Kickstarter campaign. He's done a superb job, IMHO, of laying out exactly what the album is about and why it deserves your help:

Oh yeah: Ron's band played my wedding. :)

You folks are too kind. Thank you! Happy to report that the campaign is going really well, thanks to people like yourselves. I appreciate the kind words, and the support. One sixth of the way there in 3 days. It kind of blows me away. Wait! Where have I heard that before? LOL. Seriously, thanks, guys.

Whoa… This guy is great!

Confession: I only pledged because I was so embarrassed that I hadn't heard of him until now…

Best of luck Ron!

Hey TBird. Thanks so much. I really appreciate your backing on this project. Don't be embarrassed! I've been out of the recording biz for over 10 years. Trying to remedy that!

Happy to have chipped in. I learned so much from your microphone reviews, that's worth it alone.

Thank you, Larrystick, and all the others from this web site who have pre-ordered my record. I have to say I am quite touched by the generosity of my fellow harmonica players. Hey, how often does one hear nice things about harmonica players? LOL. Thanks again.
