I was wondering if anyone had some unique looking custom or rare harps out there. If you can, write in the original harp if its impossible to tell the original body

this is the post i have been asking for!! my favorite look is some of the blue moon and Arzajac harps.
i do have quite a few harps that i made out of several brands. i think it is neat to see ,say,hering brass coverplates on a suzuki aluminum comb.BUT,i don't know how to post pictures.
i also like some of my chromatics to be hering inside and hohner outside.
i just got parts from Arzajac in the mail ,so there is no telling what i'll make next.i will probably be rebuilding marine bands all day. ----------

Not crazy looking but sweeeet. My two Stefan Swen customs. The upper in the first pic is a marine band deluxe in G that wasn't quite there for me and Stefan worked his magic on it. The lower is a marine band classic in Bb that is customized from the start.
Both combs are the original, sanded, tines and corners rounded painted and lacquered. Very classy looking, imho. Backs opened, reeds and plates got a full overhul as far as I can tell. Plays like a pair of mothers. You can actually tell from just looking on the pictures, right?

 Blue Moon Aluminum comb, Suzuki FireBreath reed plates, ProMaster covers.
I like this harp for classical. It is one of my better ones for overblow on 4,5 and 6. Is has always been a tough one to hit accurate draw bends on though. The comb helped it quite a bit. Switching from ProMaster to FireBreath reed plates did not make much difference, except I think it looks better with the brass rather than silver color and the overblows on the Firebreath plates are a bit easier to control (not that I have them under control anyway :-)).

I am still curious about stone or glass combs. Has anyone heard of such a thing being made?

@Harp&Gunman,
Does the harp pictures have glass cover plates as well as a glass comb? It that in your collection? I would love to hear the impression of the instrument from someone who has played it.
@Thieven'Heathen, it looks like one hot player has been blowin on those Marine bands! Did those temper colors show up after a particularly blistering session? ;-)

@STME58 Actually the glass harmonica is a response to an other persons question, i wish i owned it but the harmonica was designed by Geoff Stengel. The comb and cover plates are glass.

That magazine could probably be modified into a working comb. Unfortunately is is so rare that no one would recognize what it was. Unlike this guitar made from a rifle.
Conversely, I wonder how a harmonica arranged like a 10 shot revolver cylinder might work.
