If I got a Shure Green Bullet, where would I look over here for someone to custom colour it for me? I mean a proper job, not 'a lick of paint'.

try searching for Mr. Microphone- I forget the guys real name He does that kind of thing and you can even send him your mic instead of buying one outright. some of the stuff I have seen on his website are pretty good. he can even do grill work on the mic as well not sure about price range though

Because of the cost of sending things overseas etc, I was hoping to fin d something local.

Hi danny.I'm in NZ too.Last bullet i had painted was done by a Car paint shop.If you get them to do it the same colour as they are painting a car it's not expensive.It was a few years ago now but think they charged me around 30$.
Had a shell chromed a couple of years ago was about 35$

Hey Danny where you in NZ? The Auckland Blues Club run a jam every 2nd wednesday of the month in Newton at the winchester club.
I help run the jam,so it's Harp friendly ;-0
