I use the tray on a mike stand all the time. Works great for me -- I got the less expensive white plastic one -- have no idea what the current offerings are - got mine at least 5 years ago.(I know I just saw one in a video in the last few days -- maybe posted here somewhere). That two prong thingy that screws to the mike stand works well.
