Interesting to revive this thread at this time. I recently posted on the Beginner Forum under the tread, "The songs that started me playing harmonica" a nod to Lauren as my inspiration frolicking up the harp. She and Trent lived in Maine until recently and I'm glad to see they've joined Tom at Blue Moon.

They have a great CD out under L.C. Williams and the Driver titled In Another Bar. Available on iTunes as well. Great sound and great vocals. Trent is excellent in his own right. Check them out.

Since Lauren lurks here, best wishes and hope to see you in Maine this summer.

I simply meant, we are getting overly sensitive these days... Other titles would have gone unnoticed. I fully agree with Sarge. I would have posted a similar title celebrating a great female player.

I noticed Lauren right away! She is a player you notice right away. She had a deep groove and big sound like Alan Wilson and a real respect and command of the traditional Chicago blues harmonica language. She is ridiculously humble and tremendously accepting person with a great sense of humor and these qualities come through in her music as she is a big listener. I will not be surprised at all if she rises in fame very quickly in the blues world. It's really great to call her and her husband friends!

Jason and I got to know Lauren at a harmoncia seminar in Sanford ,Fl- Magic Dick and Jason were the guest instructors that day-there was a jam at the end of the day,and to be honest,I was floored by Lauren's tone and phrasing! I was like "who is the is woman-she's killer"!
I got to meet Lauren again when I played the "Camping With the Blues" festival-there was a jam each morning before the bands started-Lauren only played for a short while. I caught up with her later, and said I recognized her from the seminar-I told her I thought she had great tone and loved her playing. She was very modest, and thanked me,but I don't think she realizes just how good she really is.
I look forward to seeing her play more often for sure!!
