My son Derek just pops into town every once in while and can rarely stay over one night, but when he does we like to jam somewhere. This is an open mic at a local brewery.

Unrehearsed thru the PA and the sound guy had me a little more delay than I like. I don't play enough one chord blues and this probably sounds more like random licks than music....but we had fun and the crowd liked it. All that matters.

So, I listened to this and really liked it.

This is very similar to what I am trying to do with a couple of my friends who come over to play blues on sundays. Very basic, stripped down sound: drums, guitar, harp and a bass if he shows up. You guys are doing it better than we are!

cheers,
jerry

Thanks guys! Life's journey has been far from easy for my son. Getting better now and I can't describe in words what it means to me to be playing music with him.

Thanks Groyster1!

I'll point out the overbends for new players. I've noticed many get overblows and blow bends mixed up, as I did at one time.

So....That is a 6 overblow at 1:27. I love to wail on these notes and bend them up at certain times. There is also a brief overblow at 3:22.

The only overdraw is the 7 hole at 1:41 which I also try to bend/wail a little. Hitting the 7 overdraw without playing another note on the hole first takes mucho practice....lol

I enjoyed it Catfish. Nice you can play with your son. My son has gone down the classical route despite my best efforts.

You inspired me to have a crack at this song too!

Cheers.
