I wish there was more Mickey footage out there. I've never really thought of him as a huge influence on my playing, but every time I come across him playing on something I wonder why not?

Mickey is most likely the most heard harmonica player in the world.
Aside from the many hits by Willie that still get air time, he's played with countless other country, rock, and alternative bands.
I like that he is the perfect sideman. The master of a few well placed notes. You won't see him grabbing the stage and playing every beat of every song.
Good stuff.

You know when you hear a harp song and the harp player left you wanting to hear more harmonica, he did his job. He didn't overplay, didn't underplay. Everyone can learn something on this...
