The Blues Doctors have half a tour booked.

7/11: Aztec, NM
7/12: Phoenix AZ - The Rhythm Room (workshop @ 6; gig @ 8PM)
7/13: Midland TX

We're looking for a few more dates

7/8: Little Rock
7/9: Oklahoma City
7/14: Austin
7/15: Houston or Dallas

I'm specifically hoping for help here on those last two dates. Any thoughts about a room that a big little duo with drums might try for midweek in those three Texas cities? Any members of Austin or Dallas HOOT here?

Week day can be a bit tough. There are plenty of places to play and that are easy to get into but not all that many worth playing unless it's that or sitting in your hotel room.

With your resume' I would suggest the Saxon Pub. See their website for contact info.

You could also try C-Boy's Heart and Soul, again booking info at their website. And Strange Brew is another great place to play if you can get in.

These are all door take but they are quality venues with a listening crowd and excellent PA, etc. Paul Oscher has a Thursday Happy Hour at C-Boy's. Strange Brew may have a guarantee against the door but I'm not sure.

Adam,
Feel free to contact me and I will try and help you out. I recommend Evangeline's Cafe. Greg Izor plays at 10pm every Wednesday, perhaps you can one or sub for him.

Perhaps we can set up a one or two hour seminar then a performance. That would likely be elsewhere.

Be aware money is hard to come by in Austin. That's why I recommend a seminar.
