I'm in the early stages of putting together a 5-day (Mon-Fri) harmonica workshop for young people, 10-18, in my old hometown of Congers, NY, about 25 miles north of NYC. The venue is the Rockland Country Day School.

The dates are July 27-August 1.

It will meet from 9 to 3 PM each day and will be modeled on the blues rock workshop that the school's music teacher, Billy Roues, has been hosting there for a number of years.

Billy Roues's Blues Rock Workshop @ RCDS

There will be one teacher, me, plus my guitarist, Alan Gross. The fee is likely to be $350-400.

I'm interested in gauging interest. If you have (or are, or know) a young person who would take this workshop if it's offered, please let me know. Either post here or email me directly (asgussow at aol dot com).

I really like the idea of introducing young/teenage beginners to the instrument.

Please let us know if you have any local gigs or "grown up" workshops while you're in the area.

I'm pretty close to Rockland Cty. but my youth is a distant memory!
