FOR SALE OR TRADE forum
Please take a good look at the creed for the new subforum. If you think that it needs to be adjusted in any way, please use THIS THREAD to suggest adjustments. Thanks.
This thread is also the place where we'll monitor and discuss the short- and long-term impact of the new forum on the workings of this forum.
For the time being, I will NOT be listing the For Sale subforum in this website's index. Please bookmark it for easy reference. You can also always access it from the link just below the creed on the main forum's homepage.
PS: Those who wish to are quite welcome to keep the 2015 For Sale thread going, and/or to post items in both places.

Adam: I got the ball rolling and posted on the For Sale or Trade Forum but I can't find any way to get to it except through the link on this post. Is there tab or a button somewhere that I am blind to?

Tom, if you go to the forum homepage and look just above the thread headings you should see the link.

Ah - now I see it. I was expecting to see it off the the left in a blue box. Adam - can we make this happen? Perhaps just below HARMONICAS for sale?

I see no reason right now to list it anywhere except where it's currently listed (and highlighted), just below the creed. It already has more visibility than the "For Sale" thread.
Perhaps I should clarify, and I want people to hear me: the For Sale forum is currently in a probationary period. I want to see if it works out. Specifically, I want to see if anybody here, or as-yet unregistered forumites, try to game it--exploit it to their own advantage, in a way that strikes us as unfair--before I make it a formal part of the website.
It's there, in other words, and all forum members know where to find it. It's for us. It's not particularly for the general public--at least not right now. That's why I'm not putting it in a blue box.
As of this moment, BTW, it is unmoderated. I don't expect the three forum administrators to waste one moment adding to their workload by patrolling it. If it turns out to need patrolling, I'll ask for a volunteer moderators/administrator, who will then be added to the rolls. For right now, though, I don't want to do that and am not soliciting volunteers.
