Hi--I am looking at the Fishman TriplePlay and came across this video. Have fun, bet no one here is fooled by his impressions of Stevie Wonder . . .
I like the chord solo at 2:38 tho . . .

That sounds like a harmonica the way Frank Gorshin sounds like Kirk Douglas. Ted Burke __________________ ted-burke.com tburke4@san.rr.com

Sounds more like a Melodica. You also have to play more stuff that would sound like what a harmonica player would play. The guy from Pat Metheny's band does a pretty good imitation. ----------

So the technology is getting there--but this performance doesn't reflect that. I agree, doesn't sound like the guy knew who he was supposed to be stealing from LOL

I have to wonder, why? A harp is still much more user friendly to me. ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene

Band leaders who want harp in their sound might hire someone who could provide that sound for financial reasons. I always like to quote Bill Maher when he referred to harmonica rack players, saying, "Hire a harmonica player. How much could they cost?"

When I was a kid in the 60s, my folks bought a Hammond organ that had buttons for all sorts of cool sound effects. Unfortunately most of the effects didn't sound all that much like the instruments they were supposed to imitate.
This reminds me quite a lot of the harmonica setting on that organ. ---------- Marr's Guitars

I think it's a great harmonica-flavored sound. Cool technology.
