I'd forgotten until somebody asked about it just now that I played on a Christian/contemporary album a year or two ago. If I've already shared this here, please forgive me!

The producer/singer is Bryan W. Ward, the producer of all my albums here in Oxford, MS. He's a member of the Kairos prison ministry and occasionally participates in "walks" at Parchman Farm.

I am a member of the Kairos prison ministry in Ohio. I am blessed to play harmonica on the music team. Thanks for the post. I will show the music leader and hope to add to our song list. The inmates do get a chance to hear gospel music but they don't get much harp and they really show their appreciation when they do! Sure love given the devil the blues!!!

My disciple buddy at church is leading the spring walk for Kairos at a Texas facility.

I've already shared this with him.

Very nice. I would have liked it better if harp had been louder.

Kudzu...You did post that a while back. All is forgiven. I forgot how much I liked that one. My band is playing tonight. I'll run this by the leader to see if he'd be interested in adding it to our play list. I agree with rbeetsme. The harp could have been turned up a notch or maybe two more.

Can anyone give me info on this song? The name or Who wrote it or is it on youtube? Maybe the key its played in or progression? Is it maybe on ultimate guitar tab? Anything will help with my limited guitar skills.

Richard Littlejohn wrote it for the 1969 album "Heaven" featuring Gene Martin and the Philadelphia Choir

Cool Kudzu! Thanks for sharing. I second (3rd?) the requests for louder harp.

When you're a session player or sideman, as you know, the volume of your instrument it 100% under the control of the producer/engineer. I actually think that it's mixed at the right level relative to the vocals, even though I had nothing to do with that aspect of the recording.

@kudzu... Understood about the sound engineer having the control of the mix. Just a personal preference on my part.
