Although I've been lucky enough to teach and record a lot here in Indiana I haven't gotten to do nearly enough playing with the local Hoosiers. Finally I got a great session with some top notch Indiana cats and here's a taste: "Ain't No Taters on the Vine" is from the album "Summer Sky" by pianist, accordionist, singer/songwriterSlats Klug. "Summer Sky" was a JOY to be part of. I appear on more than a few tracks and even sing on one. I play all acoustic throughout the album and this was musically a very different type of recording for me to be on and one I am very proud of filled with gospel, ballads, county and blue grass. The whole album is creative, unique and packed with amazing instrumentalists, singers and songwriters. The record is available @ slats's website and on cdbaby and iTunes. for all you harmonica peoples the harp solo is at 2:39. ENJOY!

Outstanding Jason solo and great american music! It reminds me a little of JJ Cale, another hero of mine.

That is some real country there man. Hits a guy hard. Of course your harp stuff is spot on Jason, along with every other instrument and voice I heard. Them folks have spent the time and effort to get it so right.
Hats off to them and to you, Jason!

I could have done without the shot of you walking into the Monroe County Correctional. That, "goin; in through the.., there ain't no out door" always gives me the heebie jeebies.

Nice harp work to bring me back from that abyss.
