He came onstage and got me within the first ten seconds of actually putting hands to guitar and turning up the volume. What's that thing he does? That rapid-fire strum? That's his thing. Figure out what YOUR thing is, and you'll be on your way......

If you are taking simply about his guitar playing, he had a unique tone and praying that is almost instantly recognizable. As they say, it is all in the hands. His vocals and delivery was spot on, too. One of the deepest shows that I ever saw was John Lee Hooker playing solo at one if the smaller stages at the Chicago Blues Festival. John Lee and Lightnin' Hopkins are my favorite bluesmen.
I dont think that backup band in the video did JLH justice.
Way better fit here imho
