You can have money, fame, and gold. All I want is some peace. It is the first song in the cue below. The older I get the more I am drawn to these simple meditative grooves. Walter

thanks indigo! Being completely isolated from the music scene in that I very rarely play with other musicians (about 3 hours worth in the past 7 years) and haven't done a live gig in a couple years has had its benefits. In my recording studio I am able to discover stuff that would never have come out working with other musicians/playing gigs. I never have considered myself a blues player but have been labeled one my entire life. The isolation of the studio is allowing grooves of relax that I only dreamed about playing out night after night around the world for 20 years. This groove is one I heard 40 years ago in my head but has taken that long for my life to catch up with it. Getting older is great and that is why it is so important to seek out musicians with lots of years behind them to learn from. That is where the seeds are found that will come to fruition at their own times over ones lifetime. Walter

You have a nice recorded sound, but the vocal phrasing leaves a lot to be desired.

Another great one, Walter. I appreciate what you produce and how you produce it.

For those who are critical, it would be more in line with the forum creed to stick with statements about yourself ("I" language), such as our host suggests, e.g. "It doesn't do it for me.", or in this case e.g., "I was put off by the vocal phrasing". That is fair; that is your experience, and the poster can do with it what he or she wants.

thanks mr so&so. I don't care what people say about my music on the critical. I do it for me and have no interest in changing it unless I feel the urge to do so. I love my recording technique and vocal phrasing because I fool around with time with all my instruments. Meterdome beats have never interested me. That is why I prefer to play all the instruments on my own so I can keep any kind of time I want. Basically I follow myself with no idea where it is going. That is exciting to me. I get no resistance with going to where I go when playing by myself. Once one knows where they are going it is much more fun to play with others because it is all mapped out. I have only 4 people on this earth I will play with because they don't hamper where I am going even though I don't know where I am going. I feel I am the greatest because I am me and there is only one me. We all can be the greatest if we can forget that the inner fears of rejection exist and let our own unique self come out unfiltered just like a baby express himself unfiltered. Leaving space is the greatest music IMO. I could blow all kinds of fancy clichéd riffs but that is like being in a Los Angeles traffic jam. I prefer to play as simply as possible because that allows for no thinking. Miles Davis and Picasso did that in their later years. Many people never got it but they did and that is all that matters. Yeah but what is music that needs a disclaimer?
