Just checked it out Kingley. Thanks for the share. Lee does great lessons. I appreciate that he talks about hand use, as this is a topic not covered so often.
Looks like I will be working on this for some considerable time. I have been working on his country harp series for the past year.

Worked this through and loved experimenting with that punctuated wah sound! But can anybody tell me how Big W got that liquid "L" sound into his vibrato on the 2 draw in the 5th and 6th measures? I can "sort of" see how he would get it using his tongue to create the "L" if he was lip blocking, but how with a TB? (I'm not trying to start a new TB vs LB discussion, so please don't go there, I am seriously wondering about what Walter H did here.)

It' in Eb because you have to remember that this was originally recorded on a cheapo open reel to reel tape and BW never actually played in that key, so the reason for this happening is that the tape speed when recorded was definitely off (and when you used to buy these as well as with cassettes, looking at the wow and flutter specs were important, plus back then you didn't have any kind of speed correction available back when it was recorded in the mid 60's).

I remember someone asking BW if he ever TB'd and he said "I don't put no damned tongue on no harmonica," which I knew wasn't true, but I'm sure he did both methods.

Some of this is done with the cup being only partially opened using 1 or 2 or even 3 fingers. I learned a lot from seeing him and hanging out with him many numerous times in the 70's.

Here's BW doing the tune:

He also had fairly large hands with extremely long fingers, which sure helps.
