When we talk about excellent harp players who are also excellent singers, there's another name that needs to be tossed in the ring: Wendell Ray. He's a very unusual combination: on the one hand, a harp-and-percussion OMB; on the other hand, a truly gifted R&B singer with a 70s vibe coming out of Al Jarreau, Earth Wind & Fire, and Curtis Mayfield.
Here are a few videos and a link to the first three songs on his just-released CD. It's an unusual spread--from the rawness of the streets to the smoothness of contemporary R&B with a retro touch and a smooth-jazz vibe (on "Love in Stereo," the third song on the album, accessible through the last link below).

I really enjoyed "Penny For Your Thoughts". Great song, great harp solo. The street vids didn't showcase this fellow's huge talent, IMO. I wish him success. ----------

Yeah, he's a great player and a nice guy too. He was at SPAH 2013.
