Great video of Taj Mahal, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Jerry Douglas in rehearsal of the song "Leavin' Truck" before TTB's Beacon Theatre shows this month.
On the last Blues Cruise I attended in 2012, my girlfriend and I were at a Taj Mahal show (I'll be seeing him again next week with his Trio on the boat) way up in the rafters of the theatre late at night, and Derek Trucks came up and sat next to us watching the show for a long while. He is a huge fan. Lots of respect there.
Adam, I will be sure to ask Taj the question that has driven me crazy for two years, to explain how the song "Leavin' Truck" has parallels to bebop. That's what he told me on the last cruise, and I just can't figure it out.
