I know Rob Paparozzi works in NY. Robert Bonfiglio might still do some from time to time. I know there must some in LA.

Are you talking about "real musicians" who do studio work or just any ole tom, dick or harry who knows the blues scale?

LA is still a hotbed but the only 'studio' musicians I have known have moved up to Seattle, down to Texas, over to NY and every place in between. Is the Capitol Records building still standing?
Gene Simmonds just made a headline to make himself relevant. 'Rock Is Dead', he said. It's not dead. No genre is. But music conveyance is in transformation. Tower Records and all the Mom & Pops have succumbed but music continues to thrive. Super-stardom has taken a hit but I don't think that's a bad thing. KISS? Really?
