I am wondering about (2 channel amp) putting effects pedals in series with the jumper line from channel 1 input #2 over into the lead channel.

I doubt I am the 1st to think of this. I think I recall the general consensus is put the pedal(s) in series with the mic input, but I can't help but wonder what jumping the lead channel, slightly delayed, would do for tone.

Is anyone out there in Harmonicaland doing this?

If you are using a crystal element you my loose some bass response. By installing the jumper you put the input resistors in parallel and lessen the input impedance that the mic sees. No problem when using a dynamic element. Another thing to watch out for is phasing. If one channel has effects like a Fender DR for example, the two channels may be out of phase. I drive both channels on some amps but I use a Y cord. Y cord will lessen the impedance change. Works great on two channel amps with no effects. Using a Stereo pedal into both channels works also, phasing considerations still apply. Give it a try...BN
