Hi!

I have watched pretty much every instructional Youtube video about vamping (and a bit of chugging since they seem to be closely related).

Brandon O. Bailey names in his instructional video that Jason Ricci and Kim Wilson are his two favourites, and I have watched Kim Wilsons Fflat at least ten times a day to drain his groove onto my playing (and been quite successful with it must say).

Now I would ask advice from you to get some inspiration, of these two already named players and why not of some other players as well.

I haven't watched any of the videos, mainly 'cuz I learned vamping naturally by listening to Sonny Terry and Tony Glover in the 60's, BUT, I can tell you one thing from personal experience: it is common to speed up or push the beat - and lose the groove - when you vamp. It doesn't matter what instrument you vamp on. The tendency is to rush the upbeat.
Use a metronome at least some of the time you practice it, and you'll see what I mean.
