I think I may have played my first overblow but i'm not 100% sure, so I thought I would ask you guys for help determining that. It was a higher note, it was on the 4th hole blow, but it only lasted about a half second before it devolved into a sort of growling noise. Is this what it would sound like? I can't get it to happen consistently, and it's not the sound of any of the other holes as I first thought it to be. Was it a fluke or did I actually hit an overblow?
I'm using an OOTB Special 20 in C.
EDIT: Got a recording. https://soundcloud.com/user1203228/overblow-probably

I concur, not to shabby for a first. Keep at it! Oh, and the three hole bends, too. :) ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube

Oh my god I'm so excited! And since posting this I've learned how to sustain it for maybe 10 seconds. I think I got lucky with this harp, really -- pretty good for out of the box. Can't do 5 or 6 yet, but I'm working on it.
EDIT: nevermind on the lucky thing, I just tried it on my $6 harp and it's almost as clear.

It took me so long to get an overblow that I was wondering if it was like the "snipe" the older scouts had me "hunting" when I was a boy scout.
