Hi,
I am looking to buy a 10" for a proyect, and I know what I want.
By playing whit a EQ pedal, I found that when you boost arround 200hz you get more bass from the amp (bass knobs on guitar amps work in the 160hz range), but is just that, more bass. The magic trick (for me) is to boost the 400hz, there is where the fatnes comes, you get a big sound, not just a bassier sound.
So, I am looking to a speaker whit a good volume in that area (400hz), but all I can see is this data sheet whit grafics that show that Jensen have a volume drop in that area (mods, ceramic and the falcon), and the Eminence all seems to have a more "even" frecuency response (celestion tube 10 included), so that makes me wonder: Those grafics are equaly tested, or every brand of speaker test their own speaker in thei own way? and if that is right, then the info on their website is useless.
What do you think?
