Great, Frank. Just great! I like LW bluesy songs over his swinging songs. This is one of my favourites.

Thank you Gents...It is one of those songs that is easy to relate to for most of us at one time or another in our lives...So to tell this story through a song is a great way to relate it to others.

The song was a hit for Little Walter , reaching number six on the Billboard R&B chart, where it remained for six weeks in 1953...And even though T Bone Walker wrote the tune - Little Walter received sole credit according to Wikipedia for his rendition, because he changed the lyrics up some and of course added his indelible harp!

Here is Ricky tellin his story about a Mean old World :)

Now, that's attitude!

Also, employing the use of that shake and keeping it consistent and tasteful is harder than it looks, or sounds.

Loved every second of it.

Dude...get thee an acoustic bass player, drummer who plays w/brushes and a guitarist taught by Robert Jr. Lockwood.

You should be gigging.

What Iceman said...

You have the whole thing together: Vocals, harp, stage presence. You convinced me that there was an audience off to the right in the Centipede Saloon. Great rendition of that classic!
