When I came across a very, very new YT clip of Moon Cat sitting in with somebody named Zakk Knight at the Slippery Noodle, a blues club in Indianapolis (I've been there only once, back in 1987), I was intrigued, so I went looking. He won some award in Memphis at age 16, and he's a heck of a young gun. His guitar playing in this clip runs the gamut from slow and soulful to serious shredding. He ups the heat shortly after the 8:00 point......

He's also gonna be a guitar slave at the harmonica collective this week. He is pretty awesome...

Zakk is such a great kid, amazing singer and a player! He's only 20 but totally dominates the stage and holds the band down! He's humble, mature, calm, friendly and very wise it's a joy to be working with him these days and I hope it continues even after I leave Indiana. We have a gig together this fri. at the Slippery Noodle.
