Having grown up musically in Detroit and hangin' at United Sound Studios w/George Clinton's posse in the 70's, I like to think I've got a good education in tight funky ensembles.
Have recently found the cleanest, tightest and funkiest band that is currently doing all the right stuff.
Nils Landgren (trombonist from Sweden) has put together a funk unit. Recordings have won many awards in Germany and Europe.
Arrangements that would make Quincy Jones smile. Cleaner than Poppa Grows Funk. Reminiscent of Ray Parker Jr and early Herbie Hancock.
