If you're feeling a little grey, or low-res, or down today, this music will blast you back into the game. It's the Pentecostal groove. No need to talk about religion in this thread, but the music that comes out of the church...is some kick-ass stuff. Or at least this variety is.

Let's heal the hangover with good music. Thanks Adam!

Edit: Damn! that's powerful. If they were playing for a punk audience they'd have surely started a mosh.

This one--same preacher, band, and congregation--may be even better:

"but the music that comes out of the church...is some kick-ass stuff."

Amen, Brother A. It's amazing how easy it is when I'm traveling for work to simply locate the right church to get a groove on.
It's out there, brothers and sisters.

For a horse of a slightly different color, when I'm in San Francisco on a weekend, the St John Coltrane African Orthodox Church will fill your soul.

Very powerful groove music, with Harmonica

Live with keys substituting for harp.
I prefer the harp version, but interesting to see how they manage live without it.

Thanks for the African vid. Way cool.
Truthfully most of that praise stuff is just frantic noise to me. This brings me back tho.
