Wow, what a dyno - mite little amp. This little baby surprised me with it's full open sound coming out of an 8'' speaker, and it is loud for 5 watts. I used my ceramic JT 30. The amps tone is excellent - crunchy with some grit but not distorted. It has a punch - pop response when I hit the note accordingly. The tone control has a good curve to it. I have played a 58 Champ many times and I would say the Memphis Mini is better as it has a broader range of tone and is louder. I love it. Rick, you have done an outstanding job. For a small amp you can't beat the tone, volume, and value. Thanks.

It's a sweet amp. I haven't heard from Rick in a while and I hope it's his choice and not bad circumstance.

Slimharp, Thank You! I'm so glad you are happy with the Memphis Mini amp. We've shipped amps to 10 countries and 17 states so far. It is very gratifying.

JustFuva, sorry man! I am alive and very well but really busy. How is Clancy?

Here is what's goin' on:

Ronnie Shellist will be in Dallas and San Antonio on May 20 and 21 respectively, using the Memphis Mini amp at Hohner’s Travelling Roadshow. The events will be at Sam Ash stores: North Central Expressway in Dallas and Northeast Interstate 410 Loop in San Antonio. Ronnie is an amazing talent, and he will be demonstrating Hohner’s excellent new harmonicas. Go check it out, listen to Ronnie play, and chat with him.

Nic Clark will have the MM amp in Clarksdale at the Pinetop Perkins Masterclass Workshop series June 18-20, where he will be a guest instructor.

Ronnie, Nic, and I will all be at SPAH in St Louis in early August. Everyone is welcome to hear and try the amp.

And... I'll have the Memphis Mini amp at the Mile High Blues Society jam at Ziggies this Sunday. Westword Magazine -- Denver's music and entertainment weekly -- named it Denver's Best Blues jam and named Ziggies as Denver's Top Blues Club. It's all about havin' a good time. If you are in the area I encourage you to drop in.

Thanks again Slimharp. That message you left on my phone after you first played the amp today made laugh hard. That little amp does have some great tone, doesn't it?

Yes it do. Of course the mic has a lot to do with it. Mine through a ceramic JT 30 sounded fatter and a tad more crunchy. As Little Richard says " Good God Almighty "
Hey Rick, dont be selling loads of these babies. I want to have collectable here ! Lol

Little amps can start irritating my ears after playing them on the louder side for to long, I just get tired of the sound with that little speaker cranked and screamin...I solve the problem by chaining the little dog to the big dog 4/10 to cream the tone up and fill out sound spectrum more - much easier on the ears :)

Frank, I was thinking on doing a line out from the MM into my Bassman just to see what happens.

The MM has a nice crunch with rounded edges. Simple and sweet. I love it in my living room. I'll know after this weekend if that sound projects thru other equipment that is beyond my control.
