Two of the worlds greatest players jamming and having a good time, and you guys are bored? I guess that's why these guys are touring the world and you're...not..

I could listen to this all day. So fine! Perhaps when you are that good going back and forth and trading licks in such a tasteful manner isn't a big deal, but I really enjoyed it. And the tone!

I enjoyed it. I don't believe I've ever seen Kim Wilson have so much fun. A lot of the interest for me was in the interplay between the two men. There was a constant tension in each player's playing between 1) holding back, playing less, 2) trying to find unexpected, surprising little twists in familiar licks, as a way of trumping/amusing the other player; and 3) just playing what Sonny Boy (or whomever) would have played: straight down the middle. Each player is used to owning the stage, but neither player is trying to "beat" the other player, for real, just surprise the other player and remain poised, classy, and in balance while doing so. Rick swings so hard, with that little head move of his.

Even though they can own the stage individually, that's not what I see here...

These guys are just goofin' around and havin' fun.

Personality wise, there is no competition. They respect each other.

yeah, if there was any head cutting going on, it was who can be the coolest... and those are two cool cats for sure.. Wilson threw down the gauntlet a time or two, and Estrin just left it there not taking the bait and acting even cooler... and then came back a few rounds later once just to show exactly that he could do it. Considering it was Wilson's band, Estrin got them right on his wavelength, a natural band leader in his element.

Wilson's band?

Bob Welsh is a guitarist in Elvin Bishop's band. Kid Andersen is a member of the Nightcats. June Core is a former Nightcat and currently working with Charlie Musselwhite. Randy Bermudes is the only current member of T-Birds.

Kid Andersen, Randy Bermudes and June Core were Charlie Musselwhite's band a few years ago.

These guys have played together in several different bands.

I was at this show. This finale was cool and not overdone.
