I would be remiss if I did not take a few moments to comment on the custom harmonica I got from Mike Fugazzi and “Mantra Harmonicas.” http://www.customizedharmonicas.com/

Firstly, let me say that I have no relationship with Mike/Mantra. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone from Minnesota. I saw that he posted on MBH that he was interested in buying an Audix Fireball, which I had but was not using. I asked if he’d trade a custom harp for it, and that brings me to today.

I’ve had the harp for a week – a Special 20 in “A”.
The responsiveness and level of playability is superb. There is no lag time between what I want and what I hear – the attack is instant and comfortable. The sound, too, is different. Warmer and louder.

In short, I whole-heartedly recommend his work. I was a skeptic regarding “customized” harmonicas. I knew they weren’t a scam, but I also knew that I didn’t really “need” one. This Mantra harp has changed my opinion. It’s an outstanding piece for a professional player, and feels like it’s an extension of my breath.

Ok, that’s all. It’s a bad motherfucker, and it’s now my go-to harp.

Keep feeling, people!
Heath
