Hello MBH'ers,

I have some mics I was planning on putting together and on one of them, I noticed the little aluminum ring in the middle of the phenolic disk in the swithcraft screw-on connector is loose. The piece is new and has never been soldered.

Is this normal, or will soldering a wire into it fix it?

Thanks,

Bill

That is not completely unheard of but it is not supposed to be like that. It isn't a huge deal, but because it will spin a little bit each time it is connected/disconnected it could cause premature failure.
