little metal ring in bottom of switchcraft adaptor

cliffy 78 posts Apr 30, 2014 1:48 PM	Hello MBH'ers, I have some mics I was planning on putting together and on one of them, I noticed the little aluminum ring in the middle of the phenolic disk in the swithcraft screw-on connector is loose. The piece is new and has never been soldered. Is this normal, or will soldering a wire into it fix it? Thanks, Bill
Greg Heumann 2700 posts Apr 30, 2014 1:52 PM	That is not completely unheard of but it is not supposed to be like that.
