Here's a bare bones (no talking), 0-60mph Pedal Board vid featuring the "Harp Shield," "Flat Cat" and "Harp Break" as well as the rest of my chain. I already posted this under the Harmonica Collective thread but felt Lone Wolf deserved their own mention. Thank you all. See you in May in Indy!

Not only will Randy from Lone Wolf be with us to talk about amplification and effects (and not just his own products, either), we've got support from all the top-quality sponsors mentioned below (by the way, the sponsor links below finally work).

And if you've been on the brink, sign up now while there's still time and we still have places!

Not a criticism or anything(i likeL/W pedals alot)but the biggest difference to the overall sound to me is when you kicked in the Sonic maximiser.
Is this your current gig set up?

Great demo J. The way you added in each effect one by one really shows how they affect/enhance the sound and was the best way to do it. Exemplary playing as always and really digging the funky backing track. That's a fun groove to play over

Maybe the best video of this type I've seen. Very good! Thank you.

Jeso. Yeah manI like my sound to be more or less dialed in with no effects as much as possible first. I don't need to crank the harp break or over compress my signal, The louder the rig the less I use any of these. The sonic maximizer effect cannot be dialed in (other than sort of adding bass/treble, which is not what it does) so it makes sense you'd here more of that. Additionally youtube compresses audio and video making it tough to demo compression. My favorite pedal is any one I notice when it's not on rather than when it is. It's a subtle vibe that is apparent in the nuances of my licks/playing. This is my current set up.

This was an outstanding video for so many reasons, not least of which the crawl at the end made far more sense than Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace.

I would love love love to go, but I'm nipples-deep in blues austerity.

This is a great demo, plus we get a free JR jam. My favorite part was the flipped harp, and the ha-ha-ha!

I can't live without LW Cat Flatness, and I can't believe this product is like 2 years old. Talk about modern blues harp.

"My favorite pedal is any one I notice when it's not on rather than when it is."

That is a very subtle distinction and i had to think about its implications, made my brain hurt.^
But yeah if anyone is using pedals that is a good
starting point i guess, the old less is more approach seems to work well with the L/W ones i have.
Good demo.Be nice if there was a way on the net to link to uncompressed high quality sounds...is there?

What are the settings you use on the maximiser please Jase ? As I might have to give that pedal another go after this very good demo! Cheers Mark

J. What is that whitish Maxon peddle that gave you a kind of strangled wah wah effect (forgive the metaphor) and what is your thought on that pedal per se. Gratefully. d

Stoke: the settings on the Sonic stomp very from rig to rig and room and consistency of power in the room etc, but basically the left knob is cleaning up low end mud and the right knob makes high end sounds more clear. In this video the bass is around 3/12 and the high end is at 6.

Bigd: (I like the metaphor) it's a Maxon Auto Wah/envelope filter it makes a backwards Wah sound so a: "Haw". Chris Michalek turned me on to these about ten years ago or so. The most famous song to use one was Edie Brickell's "what I am". I love the pedal especially if you turn the delay off and play funk stuff , I use it three or four times a night. The LW compression pedal makes that thing sound a lot clearer and more under control for sure. Thanks for watching-J

They have changed the cpolour on the sonic maximizer stomp! I wonder if they sound and work different from the old ones. Anyone tried the new one that have red sides?

The new pedal don't look the same as your pedal. Just wondering if it is the same pedal inside?

Great demo for pedal function. Your acoustic sound is so good tho -it made the pedals kinda meaningless.

Thank you for video, Jason! Very interesting! I use Sonic Stomp and Carbon Copy for a long time and happy with them. Also I use LoneWolf HarpAttack.

Anyway I still hardly understand advantages of flat cat, I like tone without it better, but I still hope that it's problem of camera and it's necesary to play by myself to understand how it works.
