I know a lot of folks who are interested in replacement chromatic combs would rather not mess with the installation. So I added a button to the site for those that would rather have me do it for them.

Very interesting website. The brass comb I find really interesting. Is it possible for you to reproduce a Special 20 comb in brass?

I do offer the sp20 in brass, however not an exact replica with the recessed plates and the square holes. There's just no good way to sand the comb to flatness with the mating surface recessed. I did try at one time, and with the cnc I have now it might be possible, but probably not something I'll be tackling.

I see. But you do make the combs with the extended rounded-off tines. How difficult would it be to make one of those with round holes instead of square?

I've been doing some drawing, and I think it would be possible to make such a comb. It would be extremely difficult to make one out of wood, but I wonder how it would be with metal.

The comb I make for the sp20 is just like the combs I make for all the other models. It would be a big undertaking to make them with round holes, probably not something that I'm going to take on due to the time it would take to write new machine programs, run test parts, etc.

@Chris
Are the combs the same length front to back as the reedplates?
Also do you sell the hardware for the conversion?

On chromatics? Or did we somehow get on a different topic? Lol

All chromatic combs do come with all the screws needed for the conversion. You do however use the original cover plate screws.

Oh yes I was asking about 260 and 270 chroms.
Sorry I should have specified!
But are the combs the same length or depth I think is the correct term Distance from front (mouthpiece) to back.
I'm interested in purchasing one for a 260. I'm just trying to figure out how to drill the holes.
I'll Email you.

The are flush with the reedplates in the front and have a slight amount of material that protrudes in the back and on the ends. Not much mind you, I'm talking about a very small amount. I've always done them that way because I always thought they were a bit more comfortable, you don't feel the edges of the plates as much. At least that's my humble opinion.

I purchase one of your combs and was wondering if you could make a mouthpiece for a 260 with round holes?

I probably could given enough time to work out all of the machining. But That's one of those projects that I'd have to work on kind of on the backburner at the moment. Not that I don't want to, it's just that I'm trying my best to get orders out much quicker than I used to. So I've really kind of put a number of projects on hold so I could focus more on getting things out in a timely manner.
