We picked up the dvd U2: Rattle and Hum last weekend and stuck it in the player today. First of all, what a huge beautiful bawdy spiritual piece of work by U2! Second of all, fo0r blues content i8t has BB King working with U2 on Love Came To town, which blew me away. But third- our host, Adam, and sterling Mcghee, are featured on the streets of Harlem, I'm guessing late 80's or so, in the piece Angel of Harlem or thereabouts.
I suppose lots of you already knew this but I was pleasantly surprised. Jolene even said, "Isn't that Adam Gussow??!!" A 20 something years younger version but he has carried his years very well.

It was just very cool to see.

Great mixing of blues and folk on Rattle & Hum.
On my first iPod in 2005 I got the U2 complete set. Lots of collaborations in their work.
It would sort my library of songs by Artist; The 1st in the list was (and still currently is!) Adam Gussow & Sterling Magee. My "ah-ha" moment wasn't 'til 2010 when I found Adam's videos & the MBH site.
Funny, I learned 4-draw bend playing to U2's Trip Through Your Wires (The Joshua Tree). Pick up that album too if you like R&H.

As we watched yesterday I realized, the first band I worked with in the early 90's did one of theirs and I was expected to just wail all the way through. Desire I think.
The real shocker was seeing Adam and sterling though!
