i am using a small amp with an eight inch speaker
it is not mic'd up, no line out.
i rushed the solo a bit oh well, a hundred years from now it won't matter.

would you consider this a respectable tone?

Tone was nice, note selection and timing stepped it up from the guitar...

I'd agree it is at least a respectable tone if not more. Interesting that the harp was the farthest from the camera and yet had plenty of volume and was in balance with the band.

I've heard it said so many times that you can't do a gig with a drummer using a small amp like a Zoo or HG2 or whatever without running it through the PA or personal monitor. I know this not to be true from having done just that loads of times. I just did two gigs this weekend, one outdoors, using a Valco built National 6422TR. It has one 6v6 and two 8" speakers. I never got it above 12:00 on the volume. Could have used a bit more oomph on the outdoor stage but the sound guy said it was coming through fine. Thank you for posting that vid. Enjoyed the playing and it proves that if the band has ears you don't necessarily need all kinds of big ass amp, though they are fun too.
