Hi all, been listening to Watermelon Man by Herbie Hancock, pretty amazing to see a player grow by following the thread of one song. Other examples?

Released in 1962 to become a jazz standard hit


Of course all know about the version on Headhunters, but this one, he makes Miles smile in the 1980's



and this one is so deep into the groove it is sick...in 2006
