Somehow I get the feeling that this would sound grand played by a bunch of blues harps.

Corky Siegel does his Chamber Blues with a string ensemble. Interesting, but never quite took off.

Old-timey player Mark Graham made a few CDs with Irish fiddler Kevin Burke as part of a group called Open House back in the 1990s; some really nice stuff.

I've been playing for the last few years with violinist Tuula Tossavainen Cotter and really enjoying the interplay of sounds; you can find a few of our live performances on Youtube.
