4 guys auditioned for the 4th in a pretty good local Blues/ Blues rock band.
I am kind of a jack of all trades- mainly a drummer /percussionist- but can sing, play some blues guitar and decent crossharp.

I did a little of all of that but they really seemed to like my harp. Later on , after the band meeting and letting me know I was in - the leader said the reason was because " he didn't really notice me and the other guys did"

Its interesting that they all felt the harp added more feel than the keyboard they used to use

Moral of the story--know how to blend with the band - fill the holes that need filling - and stay quiet when there aint space for you.

I used his blues junior and it didnt sound bad-
I cut the fat switch-turned up the bass, cut mids and highs and put verb about a third up. Used my old shure commando on a stand

Spot on. Unless its your name above the door (Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers) or you started the band, toe the line and don't put your head above the parapit unless asked to.
