while at the SPAH convention last august,I purchased a pulmonica, designed the strengthen inspiratory and expiratory muscles...I gave it to a girlfriend who had emphysema and got her to learn a few melodies. She passed away recently and would like to clean it up and give to someone with same health issue.does anybody know how these are constructed?Im a little gun shy in taking it apart...

Donate it to your local Veterans Hospital. There are a lot of poor souls in there with the same problem and worse. They could put it to good use.
I've never seen one of these things, so I have no idea how they come apart.

I've never heard of them before. From looking at it though it seems to just be a low tuned Session Steel harp from Seydel with branded cover plates. I imagine it'll be just like any other harmonica, just take it apart with a screwdriver and wash the parts then put them back together.

They are actually a SUPER LOW SPIRAL tuned Seydel Session (Brass) with the root on hole #1.
You can just spray it down with some alcohol or rinse it in soap and water..
Taking it apart is no big deal except the weighted reeds sometimes cause the gaps to be a little high. Just make sure you don't clip one of the reeds...
They are pretty simple in construction... and an interesting concept.. ---------- Greg Jones 16:23 Custom Harmonicas greg@1623customharmonicas.com 1623customharmonicas.com
