Just happened to come across this and it's the first I've heard of it. Comments anyone? Click here for the Roland Micro BR80

I have the earlier version, MicroBR. It's amazing. For portability it can't be beat. I've made some pretty neat recordings at the garage with fellow cabbies joining in the brew ha ha.

If I were to buy again, I might consider the BR-800. It's less portable but it you have direct access to track level faders and XLR connections.

The drum/rhythm programability of these units is excellent.

Hey Tookatooka,
I've got the 1st generation micro BR and I've really enjoyed it. It's easy to record with and simple to mix tracks. I keep it at the ready to record ideas and licks. I have some drum tracks in it and its been a mainstay for writing, learning and even playing jam tracks. A friend of mine has used it to record a full band but it wasn't as easy.
It's a Rolland so it's well supported. Can't go wrong but there are many other portable studios out there so do your homework well.
