A book/cd set published last year titled Classic Blues Riffs is a companion piece to the Steve Cohen just released licks book. I believe it was timeistight who turned me on to the riffs book.

I like it for 3 reasons. 1) The riffs are generally associated with instruments other than harp so it's a great way to learn how to fit in when you're not the focus. The other instruments range from bass and horns to guitar. 2) The riffs are blues based so provide excellent bending practice within a blues context. 3) The riffs are generally very well known requiring modest memorization work to later quote them in an improvised solo. One caveat is there might be a small amount of overlap between the 2 books but given their value pricing I think it's immaterial.
