Damn! I wish I could be there. I'd love to see Steve Guyger live. I hope you take plenty of great video to share with us.

First time I saw Steve in action, during one of his songs he hit a 2 draw bend with such passion- his whole body seemed to expand and contract... and no lie, I seen it with my own eyes, he was propelled into the air about 1 foot off the ground... and the note he played sounded like an atomic bomb going off. I never have heard anything of the like before or since - he has serious intentions when he hits the bandstand :)

I'm not having much success in trying to post the link to the live stream, but I'm giving it another shot. It is www.justin.tv/ivoallen

Gotta say, the audio is somewhat distorted, but maybe they will adjust the levels.

Thanks, 528. Is there a URL we can use to contribute to Kid Ramos medical fund in the interim during which our nation continues to deny basic health care to its citizens?

I made it up to the show yesterday and it was "all that and a bucket".Every act was awesome, harmonica at its finest.I hung a bit with Kim,Rod,Steve,Kid etc.in the galley and the boys are great people to say the least.I even got to talk to Miss Honey as she was sitting in the main room with friends and she is one real sweetheart. The turnout was awesome, the venue was great and some real big props out to Dennis and Bob Avon for putting this awesome event together for the Kid. He sounded awesome,as well as the Doug Deming Band, they tore it up. The only unfortunate thing was that it started snowing pretty good at around 6 and alot of folks had traveled quite a distance and had to bail early, aside from that some Wicked Mojo for young and old.How was the simulcast?Thats great that you folks were able to tune in.

I was there too :). They were all at the top of there game last night!! Turned out to be a 5-1/2 hr show. It was my first time seeing Stringbean and the Stalkers, Stringbean played rack harp w/ what looked to be a Strand mic and they had a great sound the crowd really enjoyed. Dennis was incredible as always Ive never seen him do a bad show . Doug Deming and the Jewel tones really were tight the stand up bass player was playing w/ a bandaged fnger. Steve Guyger looked impeccably sharp and had some seriously thick tone doing that harp switching thing w/ a chrom and a couple diatonics like no none else never misses a beat. Kim Wilson singing w/ that Texas twang stepping off the mic to play acoustically on the high end taking it way down and the whole crowd hangin on every note. Rod Piazza pulling out a 16 and just becoming a wall of sound. Honey slapping and tickling those keys!.. Everybody taking the stage at the end huge smiles all around having a great time. All in all a great way to spend a snowy evening for a worthy cause.. Oh ....Kid Ramos was smoking!!!!!!! never saw him before what a great nite!!!!
